Lydia Varmazis
Lydia Varmazis is the founder and managing partner of Lydia & Co., an executive advisory practice. She counsels founders and leadership teams on company and product strategy, monetization, and operational scale at critical inflection points in their business, including interim and fractional product leadership when engagements call for it. Clients have included Drift, Albertsons/Safeway, Fountain, and SewerAI.
Previously, she led the portfolio at RBCx, the venture arm of RBC, overseeing four wholly owned companies in SaaS, fintech, and consumer tech: Ownr, Mydoh, Dr. Bill, and Houseful. She managed and developed CEOs, built product leadership teams across centralized platforms spanning payments, identity, and growth infrastructure, and served on the Board of Directors of RBC Investor Services ($2.9T AUM).
Lydia has driven major transformations across her career: at Adobe (built the infrastructure, business model, and teams for Creative Cloud’s SaaS transition), at PayPal (led product and engineering teams building identity and payments platforms serving 235M customers and $354B in total payment volume), and at Checkr (built the product organization from 5 to 42 people, scaling through $2.25B Series D).
Lydia holds a BS from Ryerson University, an MBA from Pepperdine University, and is certified in Corporate Governance from Wharton. She speaks regularly on product strategy, scaling teams and organizations, AI governance, and operational excellence.
